d'Echire' Butter in Wooden Basket, 8.8 oz (unsalted)- France

Echire is a sunny village in the Deux Sevres region of France which owes its international reputation to the excellence of the french butter it produces. Since the Middle Ages, cows have been reared here. Because of the special type of soil, it has very unique pastures, and the milk from these grazing cows gives the butter a taste quite different from any other: subtle, fine, delicate, of unique elegance. In June 1894, the dairy cooperative of Echire was founded. In spite of all the technical progress, they still use the traditional teak churn, and milk is collected daily even on Sundays and Holidays.
